June 11th,1945 the 299th moved into Nurenberg, Germany. The main jobs given to the Battalion were the repair of the Nurnberg Stadium, repair of the Linde Stadium for conversion to a Red Cross Club, and construction of railroad sidings for Quartermaster Depot. The 299th Engineer Combat Battalion's Company A constructed the stage and decorated it. The red and white cloth used once decorated the stage for Hitler's pompous paganism. Photo provided by: Leon J.
